Weleda Strong Massage Oil Review & Giveaway

I recently started a new gym program. This program includes seeing a personal trainer which means when doing a session with her, my muscles are absolutely thrashed- but in a good way. After my initial session with her I started some light weight training. For days after, my body was a mess. It was in some sort of post exercise trauma shock situation. I used muscles I didn't even know I have! My muscles were incredibly painful, I could not use my arms at all, I couldn't even wash my hair!

It was Sarah from Dempeaux that suggested remedies available from Echo Life. Sarah knew exactly of this uncomfortable situation I got myself into from my first ever weights session. Sabine from Echo Life also kindly spoke with me at length via email about my muscle soreness and gave me some product suggestions that could help with the discomfort. We both decided on a massage oil from Weleda called Massage Oil Strong. Sabine sent this to me for review in my time of need.

The Weleda Massage Oil Strong is an all purpose massage oil. The oil contains anti inflammatory extracts and antioxidants. It also contains essential oils like peppermint and lavender which are both uplifting and clearing, helping to balance mood. The base of this product is almond oil and olive oil- this aids as a lubricant and keeps the skin soft. It is important to note that this Weleda Massage Oil contains no parabens, is not tested on animals, is a vegan product and all natural.

I used this on my sore areas; mostly my arms, shoulders and axilla area. The oil itself isn't going to cure the muscle pain as that pain is the result of internal manipulation. But what this oil does is warm the skin and provides great lubrication allowing me to massage deeper into the muscles. I love the scent of the oil, you can really detect the essential oils in this product.

Now that my gym induced muscle pains are settling, I have now found another use for the product. I suffer from a stiff neck and sore shoulders. This often causes me to develop headaches and they can sometimes last for days. The only thing that can help alleviate the pain is a good massage. So M (the fiance) has started to use the Weleda Mssage Oil on my neck and shoulders. He has commented on how pleasant the oil is to use and how it is nicely scented. He is now using this up to 3 times per week on my neck & shoulders. Thank god he likes the Weleda Oil. Winning!!!

  1. Ooh, you poor thing! I still get dead arms and legs after a serious weight session and I've been doing at least twice weekly for about 3 years now.
Lucky you have a bf willing to rub your shoulders, mine gets 'finger cramps' or so he says.

As for what exercise I like to do, aside from BodyPump, I love my weekly netball games and boxing at my gym.

  3. I like to walk for exercise, it can be as long or short as I want or have time for, I can stroll or speed through a circuit and I love where I live so I enjoy walking heaps. To relax, I'd love a massage but it's a long soak for me.
